An issue has been encountered with Windows Server 2019 where the Credential Manager deletes stored data after a system restart. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and are there any solutions or workarounds?

Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter. Find the "Credential Manager" service. Right-click on it, select "Properties". Set the "Startup type" to "Automatic" and click "OK". Restart.

Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter. Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Credentials Delegation. Ensure that no policies are set to disable Credential Manager.

Thank you for your response. However, before applying it, I don't want to update Windows to the latest version. Will this setting work correctly with my version?

It's okay if you do not want to update windows currently, you can try other methods listed above in your current version and check the result.

Another question, please. Are these settings correct?

Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter. Locate the Credential Manager service, right-click it, and select Properties. Set the Startup type to Automatic and click OK. Then restart your computer.

Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter. Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Credential Delegation. Ensure that no policies are configured to disable Credential Manager.

Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VaultSvc and verify that the Startup value is set to 2 (Automatic). Then restart your computer.

These changes do not affect any of the other settings.
