I cannot see the full list of files I've been training an Agent on in Azure Foundry

The agents I’ve created in Azure all have more than 100 training files in them. I used to be able to go in and see all the training files in Azure Foundry but there appears to be a bug now where it only shows a few of the files and the “Next >” button is disabled, so I can’t scroll through the full list of files. This is creating a problem as I sometimes want to update or replace a file but now I can’t select them in this view. Any idea what’s going on? Here's a screenshot of one of my agents which has 104 training files but Foundry only shows 4 of them:

This issue appears in Azure Foundry where the file list isn't fully loading. Here are the troubleshooting steps:-

Sometimes, the UI doesn't load all elements properly, so refreshing the page may help resolve the issue.

Different browsers may handle the UI differently.

Cached data might be causing the UI glitch. Clearing your browser's cache and cookies can help ensure that old data isn't interfering with the latest updates.

Using incognito or private browsing mode can help rule out any interference from browser extensions or cached data, providing a cleaner browsing experience.

Thanks for the suggestions, Pavankumar. I tried refreshing the page in the browser and got the same results. I also tried a totally different browser, eliminating any concerns about a cache issue, and also got the same result. Lastly, just to prove it's not just my browser or computer, I had a colleague look via their computer and they saw the exact same thing I'm seeing. Any other advice or suggestions for me to try?

Hi Joe Wikert

There might be a chance that you might have selected wrong vector store too.

Could you please remove the existing vector store and add other "existing vector store" that might contain all the files. (104 files instead of 4)

Thanks again, Manas. I've not explored the vector store options before as I built my original agents by simply loading training files without doing anything directly with a vector store selection. Based on your advice, I copied one of my agents to create a test agent. I then deleted the existing vector store for that test agent. When I went to select a new vector store I saw a list with IDs I don't recognize. Since this is just a test, I tried selecting each one, one by one, and got the exact same results: Despite the fact that each has 100+ files, the resulting view only shows me a handful of files and the "Next >" button is still grayed out, so I can't scroll through all the other files.

Any other suggestions? This really feels like it's simply a bug with Azure Foundry.

Whenever we upload files to Agent, it gets saved in a vector store only.

My suggestion was removing the vector store and attach other available. I think you mean removal for deletion of vector store.

I think your existing vector store is corrupt state or holding only 4 files.

We are not able to replicate this UI issue at our side. Can see all 30 files I uploaded as part of my repro.

You can upload 20 or 30 files to create a new vector store to see the difference.

Thanks Manas. I'm a bit confused. There are only two vector store option buttons: "Remove vector store" and "Delete vector store". Yes, I chose "Delete vector store" for my first test but I went back in, created a new copy of an existing agent, and tried the same process with "Remove vector store" but still ended up with the same results. Is there some other process you were suggesting when you advised to "remove the existing vector store"?

Below is the limitations for file search tool.

Limit Name	Limit Value
Max files per agent/thread	10,000 when using the API or Azure AI Foundry portal. In Azure OpenAI Studio the limit was 20.
Max file size for agents & fine-tuning	512 MB
Max size for all uploaded files for agents	100 GB
agents token limit	2,000,000 token limit

You only having or uploading 100 files and no problem with that, check for max file size is 512 MB with max 5,000,000 tokens per file, combining all of your files should not exceed 100 GB.

Let me know if you have any further query, also did you try in different region? is it same? Please check and update here

Hello @Joe Wikert ,

There is ongoing issue in Sweden central region regarding high vector store file attach job failure, Will update once we get the details from product team.

Also please check with fewer files whether it's working or not, because tried with 30-40 files, and it is working fine.

Here's a bit of additional information... I recreated my Agent from scratch and I can see all the files associated with it. The exact same agent, created earlier, still won't let me see all the files associated with it. This is clearly a bug in Azure and not an issue with my files or configuration. I hope Microsoft fixes it soon.
