    But there is a way to measure the number of instances of an Azure Application Gateway, although it is not directly provided as a metric. Instead, you can infer the number of instances by looking at the Capacity Units metric.

    Azure Application Gateway's pricing is based on Capacity Units rather than the number of instances. Each instance guarantees a minimum of 10 capacity units in terms of processing capability. Therefore, by examining the Capacity Units metric, you can determine the number of instances. For example, if you see 20 capacity units, it will mean 2 instances, and 22 capacity units would mean 3 instances.
