I created a full backup on a windows server, used AZ copy to copy that image into an azure storage account. How can I attach that image to a VM in azure? The goal is to have the local server backup I created launched in azure cloud vm.

Since your image is stored in a storage account, follow these steps to create a disk in Azure:

Create a new disk in Azure.

When configuring the disk, set the source type to Storage blob.

Select your storage account, container, and the corresponding OS for the disk.

Once your image is successfully stored in the disk, navigate to your virtual machine and attach the disk. This should resolve your issue
