One drive Shared folder not working in file explorer

I have 12 team members configured on One drive. And we have been sharing our specific folders with each other for exchange of information and collaborative working.

These shared folders used to be visible in our file explorer and we have been accessing files just like our local files. But all of a sudden, this sharing started misbehaving. Now when I click on the shared folder in my Windows File Explorer this takes me to the One drive on web browser.

Initially this problem was observed on one user, but it started spreading to all now.

This is very uncomfortable as we often need to refer the information from each other files, but now they are only available when we are online on Internet and trust me the online mode of MS-Office doesn't work the same way as Desktop mode works.

NOT ABLE TO UNDERSTAND WHY MICROSOFT ONEDRIVE IS MISBEHAVING LIKE THIS
