Verification code service not working (trying to get BitLocker codes)

Hello,
I unfortunately am no longer able to turn on my Windows PC with BitLocker-encrypted drive (spilled something on keyboard so power on button does not function anymore). However I have taken out the disk from the PC, and the files on it are essential to me. My BitLocker codes are on my Microsoft account in the cloud. But whenever i try to log in to Bitlocker area (at aka.ms/myrecoverykey or by going through the account portal) it tells me I have to verify, which is fine. Except the verification code service is not working (see screenshot below) so I don't get any code on my mobile or email. This has been going on for a week now. The issue has been escalated with Microsoft support but they are taking their time.
I was wondering if anyone can give some suggestions as to what to do?
