How can I change the username of a user on Azure DevOps?

Hi,
One of our staff had a name change sometime back and their new username is not getting reflected on Azure DevOps even though it has changed everywhere else like in Azure AD.
I have tried everything including removing and adding the user again but Azure DevOps for some reason adds the account with the old username.
This is causing issues for the user when they try to connect to DevOps from Visual Studio. Sometimes it works fine but at other times, it doesn't. I have attached the error message.
Old user name is kieron.tracey and the new username is zoey.merlot.
Please could you suggest a solution for the same?

Thank you for your reply. I have gone through this and checked all areas for this user on Azure AD but I can't find the old username anywhere.
When I remove and add the user again on DevOps, it is still presenting me with the new display name and old username. Please see below:
