Can anyone help.

Help I'm locked in an MFA setup loop with my M365 exchange account.

It has been working perfectly for several months and then int he last 10 days or so asks me to setup security and then loops round and round this request so I am unable to access the account either online or on my local Outlook.

All portals (admin, Entrance, Powershell, graph etc.) Redirect to the broken setup. Can't access support. I'm the only admin.

I have tried calling Microsoft (no answer), DM'ing Microsoft Support and Microsoft 365 on X but get ro response from either. Need urgent help.

    Hi @Adam Gold,

    Welcome to Q&A!

Here are some suggestions for your reference:

    1. Emergency Access Recovery

Try Incognito Mode/Different Device: Access the Microsoft 365 Admin Portal in Incognito mode or on another device (e.g., mobile) to bypass caching issues.

Emergency Break-Glass Account: If configured, use a non-MFA emergency admin account to reset MFA for your primary account.

    1. Contact Microsoft Support

Submit an Online Request: Force-load https://aka.ms/adminhelp (try Ctrl+F5 or append ?forceauth=true).

Phone Support: Call +1 (800) 865-9408 (US Commercial Support) or find local numbers: Global Support Contacts.

    Twitter/X: Direct-message @MicrosoftHelps with your tenant name (e.g., contoso.onmicrosoft.com) and issue details.

    1. Advanced Recovery (If Possible)
    • Submit a Service Request via PowerShell (requires module):

    powershell

    Copy

    Connect-MsolService

    1. Preventative Measures
    2. Assign Backup Admins: Ensure at least one additional Global Admin exists.
    3. Enable Break-Glass Account: Avoid single points of failure.
    4. Use Conditional Access Policies: Replace per-user MFA enforcement for better flexibility.

You have to keep several attempts by phone support option. Only security team of Microsoft can help you for your issue. https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/topic/customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2#ID0EBBD=signinorgid
