Hi, I registered this account first in September 2024. Couldn't make time to use the free 1-month trial access. Now I've just upgraded the account to Basic. I was wondering if someone can help me understand what happens now that I upgraded to pay-as-you-go and services I will be paying for; where can I keep track of what I am using and will be liable to pay for? Thank you.

    Hello Mir Karim,

With the Basic tier, you'll only pay for the Azure services you actually use. There's no minimum fee or upfront commitment.

The primary tool for monitoring your costs is Azure Cost Management + Billing in the Azure Portal:

    • Go to the Azure Portal
    • Search for "Cost Management + Billing"
    • Here you'll find dashboards showing your current costs, forecasts, and usage breakdown

    See:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/manage/check-free-service-usage

You can mark it 'Accept Answer' and 'Upvote' if this helped you

    Regards,

    Abiola
