Add Account & Account Owner in Billing Scope

Hi I am trying to add Account & Account Owner in Billing Scope

Following this document

Billing Scope1

I don't see option to add accounts in Billing Scope. Let me know what is issue ?

Hi @Shrikant Bhagwat,

If you do not see the option to add accounts, it could be due to insufficient permissions. Ensure that you have the necessary access rights to manage billing accounts. You may need to contact your billing account administrator to grant you the required permissions.

you might need Enterprise Administrator (EA admin) access to create it

I am login as Global Admin to Azure Portal , how do I make my account EA Admin ?

Hello Shrikant Bhagwat,

Apologies for the delay in my response.

Since you have global administrator role at Microsoft Entra ID, Entra role assignments do not grant access to Azure resources, that's why currently you were failing to add a new account to your billing scope.

Step 1: So, you need to elevate your access to grant the EA admin role.

Refer this doc to know how the elevated access work: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/role-based-access-control/elevate-access-global-admin?tabs=azure-portal%2Centra-audit-logs#how-does-elevated-access-work

And follow the below steps to Elevate your access from Entra ID.

Step 2: Once you grant the EA admin permission at your subscription, you can remove elevated access
