I wanted to use southeast asia, but it's not on the list. But the error says it suppose to be available. what gives???

Please follow the below Steps to Resolve the Issue

1.Check Available Regions:

Ensure that the region you want to use is indeed available for the resource type. According to the error message, Southeast Asia should be available.

Double-check the list of available regions for Azure Cosmos DB on the below link. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/explore/global-infrastructure/products-by-region/table
Ensure Southeast Asia is listed as available for Cosmos DB.

2.Verify Subscription Access:

If you are not seeing any regions available for your Azure Cosmos DB account, it is possible that your subscription does not have access to those regions. You can check if your subscription has access to the regions by going to the Azure portal and navigating to the "Subscriptions" blade.

From there, select your subscription and then click on the "Resource providers" link. Look for the "Microsoft.DocumentDB" resource provider and make sure it is registered for all the regions you want to use.

If it is not registered, you can register it by clicking on the "Register" button. Once the resource provider is registered, you should be able to see the available regions for your Azure Cosmos DB account.

3.Select Supported Regions:

If Southeast Asia is not appearing in the list, try selecting another supported region from the list provided in the error message. Some options include:

West US

East US

Central US

North Europe

West Europe

Japan East

Thanks for the infos. But the Resource Provider is registered. and still the only two regions are listed.

Hi Boi Hatol,

Resource type being unavailable in selected region of deployment. Check availability of the resource type in Azure regions here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/explore/global-infrastructure/products-by-region/

There might be limitations on your subscription that prevent you from using some regions that support the resource. Resource Explorer displays valid locations for the resource type.

Check this with Resource Explorer:

You can deploy the Resource in all the locations mentioned here.

Also, try to open a new window in Microsoft Edge and navigate to the desired resource via the Azure Marketplace link and deploy the resource.
