I have a Multi Server SharePoint farm in my environment,

1- Server1 - DB
2- Server2 - SharePoint roles: Front-end with Distributed Cache
3- Server3 - SharePoint role: Front-end
4- Server4 - SharePoint roles: Applications with Search

I have configured the SharePoint search service on Server 4 and be able to connect from Server2 and able to run the crawl but there no Searchable Content.

Crawl Logs:-
1 Error - The object was not found.
1 Warning - Item not crawled due to one of the following reasons: Preventive crawl rule; Specified content source hops/depth exceeded; URL has query string parameter; Required protocol handler not found; Preventive robots directive. ( This item was deleted because it was excluded by a crawl rule. )

Tried the below Steps As well:-

1) Stop the Timer Service
2) Clear the configuration cache - Find in %ProgramData%Microsoft\SharePoint\Config the folder where the file cache.ini exists
3) Delete every file from this folder EXCEPT cache.ini
4) Open cache.ini, delete the content and put '1' (without the quotes) in it and save the file
5) Restart the Timer Service
6) Index reset
7) Full crawl

Crawl Rule:-

Include - https://WEBAPP.domain.com/\*

but still unable to search contents, please suggest.

    Hello @ananpeculiar ,

    Please the following steps:

    • Disable the loop back check

    Open Regedit.exe >> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> SYSTEM >> CurrentControlSet >> Control >> Lsa >> make the DisableLoopbackCheck value is equal to 1

    • Make sure that the default content access account has “Retrieve People Data for Search Crawlers” permission to the User Profile Service. Screen capture below:
