Confirm All Resources Are Fully Deleted, Go to All Resources and search for any remnants of the Notification Hub, its namespace, or related services (e.g., Availability Zones add-ons).
- Use filters like “Notification Hubs” or “Namespaces” to ensure nothing was accidentally left behind.
- Review Billing in Cost Analysis:
Navigate to Cost Management + Billing > Cost Analysis Filter by Service Name = "Notification Hubs - Availability Zones" (a common culprit for unexpected charges).
Check if the charges are prorated for the time the hub was active before deletion.
The free tier doesn’t include Availability Zones, which cost $350/month if enabled. Azure sometimes auto-enables this in certain regions.
When creating/deleting resources, ensure optional features like Availability Zones are disabled.
