Hello,

I am facing an issue during the sign-up process for an Azure subscription. Specifically, I am unable to validate my phone number, which prevents me from completing the sign-up process.

Problem Details:

Affected phone number: 0000000

Contact email address: j**@hotmail.com

I have attempted phone number validation multiple times, but each attempt has failed. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue so that I can proceed with the Azure subscription.

Context: The issue occurs during the phone number validation step of the Azure subscription process, and it is preventing me from completing the sign-up. I have followed all the suggested steps from previous support materials but have not been able to resolve the issue.

Hello Jihad,

Based on your description, it appears that you are unable to log into the Entra ID Portal due to an incomplete MFA process. Since the device registered for second-factor authentication are not getting any MFA prompts, you are unable to complete the authentication for your subscription sign-up process.

In such scenarios, another Global Administrator can help to re-register MFA on a new mobile device. If you have another user with Global Admin privileges, he can login to Entra ID portal and navigate to Users - effected user - Authentication Methods.

Here do revoke MFA sessions and require re-register MFA as shown in below screenshot.

If you don't have Global Admin privileges in the tenant, this qualifies as a tenant lockout scenario. To resolve this, we need to engage the Data Protection team via a support ticket to unblock your access.

To address the issue, we contacted our support team and raised a ticket with the Azure Subscription/Account Review team.

A support engineer from the Account Review team will remove the block on your account phone number, allowing you to sign up for a new Azure tenant without any problems.
