I need help with my VM that's been running for over a year. I'd bounce the windows host but never really stopped / started it from the azure portal. I tried that last week and the VM will not start. I tried sending email to microsoft support but never got any reply.

@Rene Summers can you provide the error message?

    1. Can you also check the status of the VM in the Portal? Is it currently in a "Stopped (deallocated) state"?
    2. You can also try redeploying the VM. This would move the VM to a new Azure host. To do this, you need to go to your VM and then select "Redeploy" and follow the steps.
    3. Check the Boot Diagnostics. Go to the Boot Diagnostics section of your VM in portal and check the current boot state of the OS.
    4. You may can try to resize the VM and see if that resolves your issue as well.

Let us know if you have any questions or the above steps help you!
