    Hello,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A,

As of now, only GPT-4.1 (full model) appears to be available for provisioning in Azure OpenAI, while OpenAI has released GPT-4.1 Mini (the smaller, cost-effective variant) on their platform but has not yet been made available in Azure OpenAI.

    • GPT-4.1 → Available for provisioning in supported Azure regions.

GPT-4.1 Mini → Released by OpenAI but not yet surfaced in Azure as of today.

Azure OpenAI typically lags behind OpenAI’s direct API by a few days to weeks for new model releases due to:

    • Internal testing and validation.

    Regional availability rollouts.

    Quota management considerations.
