How do I delete a grey account in Microsoft Authenticator?

In the latest version of Microsoft Authenticator, when you click on a gray account, the pinion in the upper right corner doesn't have the option to delete the account, only the account name. How to delete a grey account?

Hello Shuyao,

I had the same issue. To remove the account on you Android go to the settings-- accounts and you will see the account in the list. Delete it from there and it removes it from Authenticator.

Thanks but not really helpful for me.

My company's app changed in some way so that I needed to re-setup MFA on Authenticator to access it, which I did. I now have 2 entries for the same app and same account, one fine and works, the other is greyed out. It's a work phone and it's the primary account used for email and various other things so certainly don't want to remove the account from my phone; who knows what that would break?

I just want to know how to remove the zombie entry from Authenticator without having to basically reset the phone. If there's no other way then I'll just have to live with a greyed out entry taking up space.
