Whenever I try to log into a site from Chrome or Edge, Windows Security pops up with a "Making sure it's me" security pop-up asking me to sign in. It is F*****ng me, it's my computer, it's on my private network, I already signed in initially when I turned my laptop on using my face, my fingerprint, my passcode, a drop of blood, it's me!! Why is it asking me this whenever I log into any site? How can I disable this? If I am on a public network, there may be some concern, but I'm home. I do not need Windows to be this worried about me. HOW can this be disabled??

    Hi Jimmy,

To prevent those unexpected "Making sure it’s you" security popups in Edge and Chrome, you can try to follow these steps:

    1. Disable Password Prompts in Your Browser

    For Microsoft Edge:

Open Edge and paste this in the address bar: edge://settings/passwords

    Turn OFF these options:

    • Offer to save passwords
    • Sign in automatically

    For Google Chrome:

Open Chrome and paste this in the address bar: chrome://settings/passwords

Disable the same options as above.

    2. If it still persist, you can try the additional steps below:

    • Windows Security Settings:

Open Windows Security → Sign-in options

    Disable:

"Allow Windows to use my sign-in info..."

"Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts"

    • Credential Manager:

Press Win + R, type netplwiz, and uncheck:

"Users must enter a username and password..."

This should stop the interruptions while keeping your browsing secure. Let me know if you still see the popups!
