Assistance is needed in estimating the costs for migrating high-performance computing workloads to Azure with the following VM specifications:

  • CPU: 64 logical cores
  • RAM: 128 GB
  • Disk Space: 500 GB to 1 TB
  • Uptime: 24/7 for several weeks (on demand)

The setup will require three machines running models at 100% CPU and RAM utilization for extended periods. Performance is a priority, but cost constraints must also be considered.

Which Azure VM series will fit these requirements (Microsoft recommendations), and what would be the approximate overall cost?

    Hi InfraSolutions,
HB-series (CPU: up to 64 logical cores) or HC-series (CPU: up to 44 logical cores) or F-series (CPU: up to 72 logical cores) virtual machines are recommended for high-performance computing workloads with the specifications you provided.
Each of these have RAM according to your requirement.
You can check the disk space with the cost by visiting this link https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/pricing/details/managed-disks/
The price is determined on various factors such as region, Pricing model which you can go through the below link https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/pricing/details/virtual-machines/windows/#pricing
you can also check for other VM specifications using the above links
