Subject: Critical FSLogix Issue – Specific User Logon Disconnects All Active RDS Users

Summary:

We’re experiencing a severe issue within our Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environment involving a specific user account.

Environment:

  • RDS servers: Multiple hosts (names omitted)

FSLogix version: 3.25.401.15305

Profile containers stored on a central file server

Issue: When this specific user logs into any of the RDS servers, all other active user sessions on that server are instantly disconnected. This only occurs with this one user — all others operate normally.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

Deleted and re-provisioned the user’s FSLogix profile (VHDX)

Verified group membership (inclusion/exclusion rules)

Confirmed share and NTFS permissions match working accounts

FSLogix logs show the profile mounts without error

Event Viewer logs show user-initiated logoff events for other users immediately following this user’s login

FSLogix Log Behavior: The logs indicate a clean profile load: VHDX attachment, registry hive import, folder redirection setup, and a clean logoff without error.

Additional Notes:

The issue persists after removing and recreating the profile

Logs, Group Policy XML, and environment details are available upon request

We suspect this may be a conflict related to the user’s SID, session, or an internal FSLogix handling error.

Request: We’re requesting support to identify the root cause and recommend a fix to prevent this behavior from reoccurring.Subject: Critical FSLogix Issue – Specific User Logon Disconnects All Active RDS Users
