Cases created in Purview does not show correct information in the new ediscovey site. Names not in the case shows with info about other users. Old eDiscovery site shows correct info. May be a GUI issue?

    @Lorena Silva-Ros

    Thank you for reporting the issue. We understand that cases created in Microsoft Purview are not displaying correctly in the new eDiscovery experience, with incorrect usernames and unrelated information appearing, while the same cases look accurate in the classic (old) eDiscovery interface.

    Some features and functionalities are currently supported only in the classic eDiscovery experience within the Microsoft Purview portal. This may be why you're seeing discrepancies between the classic and the new eDiscovery sites, including cases displaying incorrect or unexpected information in the new experience. Microsoft is working to bring feature parity between the classic and new interfaces, but until then, some discrepancies may appear, especially with custodian or case data.

    For additional information, please refer: Learn about eDiscovery

    Here are a few things you could try to troubleshoot:

    Switch to the Classic Experience - If accuracy is critical, we recommend continuing your case review in the classic eDiscovery portal, which remains fully supported until its retirement later this year.

    Check for Updates - Ensure that your Purview portal is updated to the latest version, as updates often fix bugs and improve functionality.

    Clear Cache - Cached data can sometimes interfere with how information is displayed. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies to see if that resolves the discrepancies.

    Permissions - Double-check that the user accounts associated with the cases have the correct permissions assigned. Permission issues can sometimes cause information to be displayed incorrectly.

    Compare Case Settings - Look for patterns in cases that show incorrect information — such as specific user groups, data sources, or how custodians were added — as this may help isolate the issue.

    I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you have any further queries.

    Kindly consider upvoting the comment if the information provided is helpful. This can assist other community members in resolving similar issues.

    Thank you.
