MS authenticator app always ask to re-enable phone sign-in saying your screen lock has changed.

Gets Authenticator Notification But always fails saying Re-enable phone sign-in stating your screen lock has been changed. After Successfully Enabling Phone Sign-in the same comes again and again. 1000014276

Hi,

The Microsoft Authenticator app uses your phone’s secure lock (like fingerprint or PIN) for phone sign-in. If something changes (e.g. you add a new fingerprint, disable the lock, or reset it), it may cause a mismatch — and the app keeps asking you to re-enable phone sign-in.

Hi, After Re-Enabling it must work as expected after any changes to lock screen But still it keeps on asking the same.

Have you tried these steps?

Fully disable phone sign-in for the account:

Open Authenticator → Tap the account → Tap “Disable phone sign-in”

Clear app cache (on Android):

Settings → Apps → Authenticator → Storage → Clear cache

Restart your phone

Re-enable phone sign-in in the app

Make sure screen lock (PIN/fingerprint) is active before re-enabling

Hi, Yes Did.. I have disabled authenticator from the account. Reinstall the App. Added Account. But the issue persists the same.. it comes again and again..

I have moved to a new phone and carried out the restore backup and now stuck in the constant loop of not being able to approve any sign-ins as it goes to Re-enable phone sign-in stating your screen lock has been changed. Anyone have the answer to this as I can't even connect my phone to my PC !!!
