Why is my school account keeps on displaying numbers to enter on my authenticator app but I can't access it because it displays the same thing even on the app except it shows different numbers every time I login

My Microsoft account keeps displaying for identity verification request to my Microsoft Authenticator app, but we didn't hear from you in time. When I open the app, it shows the same message after it has displayed a number.

    try reinstalling the authenticator app as it seems it may have an error/corruption
