Hi,

I have an Azure Local infrastructure. I plan to create a Kubernetes cluster with Azure Arc.

I want to manually select a storage path when I create an ARC-enabled,

For example, I have the storage paths below, like in the photoUser's image

By default, when you create a Kubernetes cluster with Azure Arc, it selects automatically one or more of the given storage paths.

I want to manually select the storage path in which will reside all the VMs of the control plane and node pool. Also, all the VMs that are created by the cluster autoscaler when it will increase or decrease the number of VMs depending on the load.

This is regarding Azure StackHCI 24h2

Thank You

    Hi @Elvi Veruari

Right now, if you are creating an Arc-enabled AKS cluster on Azure Stack HCI version 23H2 or 24H2, you cannot choose your own storage path. The system automatically uses a default path, usually under ClusterStorage and doesn’t let you change it during setup.

However, if you are using 21H2 or 22H2 versions you can choose the custom storage path using PowerShell.

Microsoft may add this feature in newer versions later. To stay updated check the official documentation here: <https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-local/?view=azloc-2504>

I hope this has been helpful!
