VMware SRM does not perform replication. SRM does not replicate VMs; it orchestrates recovery using vSphere Replication (or array-based replication, where supported). The page's wording is a incorrect. It should say:
"Your company already uses VMware SRM to manage the disaster recovery of virtual machines (VMs) between different branch offices, using [xxx] Replication for data replication."
