Adding my personal account to authenticator always generate 8 digit OTP

Hello,
Authenticator app is generating 8 digit OTP for my personal account (aka liveId). Due to this I am unable to login successfully to my azure portal.
I followed all instructions mentioned here still no help to unblock my issue. Anytime I add my live id to authenticator, it start generating 8 digit OTPs.
And I cannot reach a good phone number or contact to really figure out or discuss this issue
