How to see Billing and Usage for my Azure OpenAI Foundry account

  • I have an account with Azure AI Foundry, and deployed some OpenAI models as endpoints.
I have the account with Microsoft for Startups, and was given credits to start with.
However, I cannot find ANY page that shows either my total usage of tokens/credits or billing!
I have asked MS Copilot (useless - just sent me to Docs), and Claude and Gemini have outdated information about Azure AI's interface (they tell me that there is a Billing page that doesn't exist).
Surely there must be a way to track my usage and billing in an easy dashboard! OpenAI itself has a very easy interface for this.

    Hi Z Abrams

To track your billing and usage for your Azure AI Foundry account, you can use the Azure portal. Here are the steps to monitor your costs:

    1. Sign in to the Azure portal.
    2. On the left pane, select Cost Management + Billing and then select Cost Management.
    3. Under the Cost Management section, select Cost Analysis.
    4. You can view your costs by selecting different views such as Resources to see the costs associated with each resource.

For projects in Azure AI Foundry, each project has its own subscription, allowing you to monitor costs and consumption specific to that project. You can expand the resource details to see costs associated with various meters, such as input and output tokens used for inference.
