How to reset or re-register MFA if I am the only Tenant and lost access to previous authenticator?

Hi, I am having a tenant lockout situation where no other global admin in the tenant has the necessary admin rights to re-register MFA.

I cannot access to Azure portal for the same as it keeps on asking me for Authenticator code but I do not have access nor cannot reset for myself.

Hi @Sem Meijer Do you have any GDAP with another application or partner who is able to take care of this? I guess this is the only option. Unfortunatly, Microsoft will not reset this for you.

If you can access the tenant, be advised to create a break-glass account.

In such scenarios, another Global Administrator can help to re-register MFA on a new mobile device. However, since you mentioned that you are the only Global Admin in the tenant, this qualifies as a tenant lockout scenario. To resolve this, we need to engage the Data Protection team via a support ticket to unblock your access.
