Restoration of windows 11 after switching to Kali OS

I plan to switch from Windows 11 Home to Kali during summer break. I want to ask if it's possible to restore windows if I change my mind later. I have Windows 11 Home on my notebook from manufacturer, and I heard that should mean it's licence is stored on the moatherboard. I just want to be sure if I won't need to buy the licence in case I would want to go back to Windows.

    I would suggest that you install a virtualization tool like VMWare Workstation or VirtualBox and build a VM that you can play with. There might a little loss of performance, but you can play with multiple Linux builds and leave your base Windows OS intact. If you find that a particular build doesn't suit your needs, you just delete the VM.
