Can't authenticate my university e-mail with microsoft authenticator

I have to acess my university e-mail, but i can only do this if i authenticate it with a code that i should be able to get on the microsoft authenticator app on my phone, however, when i try logging in with my phone, it asks for the code again, so I'm stuck in this loop
