Teams Meeting transcript not downloading on Safari

Something seems to have broken with downloading a transcript from a Teams meeting for both the Safari Browser and the Teams app on Mac. I can see the transcription (and I have access permission), but when I click on the download icon all I get is a little processing animation like it is doing something and then it just stops without actually downloading. This behavior is the same for myself and another person in my company also on Mac. If however, I copy the "Open" link in the share email that I receive and open in the Chrome browser, the download works. This behavior just started happening, but it appears to affect any download attempt, including from older meetings where I had downloaded the transcript before, but if I try to download it again, I get the same behavior.

A minor update. I still can't download via safari, but I seem to be able to download via the Teams app, navigating to the Chat of the meeting and clicking on the transcript icon, which opens a Teams window with the video and transcript (much like what it looks like in Safari/Chrome) but I can click on Download and select the format of the transcript successfully. So, perhaps this is something internal that they are working on and perhaps also a Safari security feature that is blocking the download.

Here is the version of teams that I'm on. Version 25093.2105.3614.8220

I have this exact issue. I have never managed to download transcripts in the MS Teams Mac app or when opening in Safari. When I click the download button, I get to choose between MS Word and .vtt and after that there's a pulsating line that indicates that the file is being prepared, but then the line stops and nothing happens. I'm not sure how the original poster managed to make things work by going to teams.microsoft.com because it doesn't work for me. Interestingly enough, I can download the video of the meeting - just not the transcript. Downloading does work in Chrome, though.

What's it like inside of Microsoft? Can you download transcripts in Safari? Can anyone? I mean is the problem on a select number of users' side or is it a general problem?
