When trying to turn on backup I receive an error, "Your backup is too large. Cannot save to the cloud."

I have tried multiple Microsoft personal accounts that have 5GB of free storage and still get this error. I understand I have a lot of account in the Authenticator but to have to reauthenticate all of them when I get a new mobile device is insane.

Have been having same issue on Android and plenty of space on device, all cloud accounts etc., it started around Aug 2025, currently not majorly concerned, however once wanting to move to a new device; this could really become an issue, as have over 100 accounts associated with Microsoft Authenticator app. If anyone with solution for this could share from their experience on what the issue is and how it could be resolved, it would be much appreciated.
