Azure retail pricing API: missing data for Standard_DS1_v2 instances

Hi Team,

I am trying to get the Azure retail pricing data using the API: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/cost-management/retail-prices/azure-retail-prices
I couldn't find data for the instance : Standard_DS1_v2
Are there any reasons for this? I used access this data previously.

Currently, retrieving retail prices for all Azure services through the API is available only in preview. As this is a pre-release version intended for testing and feedback, it may take some time to retrieve complete pricing information for all services. In the meantime, you can access retail prices through the Azure Portal and the Azure Pricing Calculator.

@Nikhil Duserla The same API was providing full data before May 15th.

And Microsoft doc https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/cost-management/retail-prices/azure-retail-prices

suggests that this is the programmatic way to retrieve retail prices for all Azure services.

If this API is unreliable, Is there any alternative API/version/resource from Azure?

Hello @Eluri Bhanu Prasanna,We believe this is an intermittent issue similar to the one that occurred in 2021 and was eventually resolved.

We will escalate this to the Microsoft product team for further investigation and resolution.

It's not resolved yet as I couldn't get the pricing for the instance(Standard_ds1_v2) from API. Let's keep this open to track the escalation you mentioned to Microsoft product team.

Just an update
This https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/migration/sizes/d-ds-dv2-dsv2-ls-series-migration-guide mentions the retirement of few insatnces by 2028 and ds1_v2 is part of it.

I wanted to inform you that our team has provided an update regarding the Standard_DS1_v2 size. Sent a retirement notice for DSv2 back in March, and this information will be reflected in the Microsoft documentation shortly. So that is the reason you are unable to get retail price for it.
