Is it possible to enable Track Changes globally for an entire tenant in SharePoint Embedded Office Viewer?

Office documents include a "Track Changes" feature, which works well with Office 365 when multiple users are collaborating on the same document. However, it needs to be manually enabled by a user, with three available settings: Off, For Everyone, and Just Mine.

We're currently using SharePoint Embedded(Using Graph APIs) to store and enable viewing/editing of Office documents. One of our clients has asked whether there's a way to automatically set "Track Changes" to "Everyone" by default for all documents within tenant.

Is this possible?

    Hi @S.P Singh

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand this is a feature will be very convenient for you and your colleagues.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to enable Track Changes globally for all documents across an entire tenant in SharePoint Embedded Office Viewer. The Track Changes feature in Office documents must be manually enabled by users on a per-document basis, with options like Off, For Everyone, and Just Mine.

If this is a helpful feature to you and everyone in the community, I recommend you raise your feedback to Microsoft via Microsoft Feedback Portal

They will listen to your ideas and consider making it a feature in the future.

    I hope this information helps.

No, there is currently no supported or configurable way to globally enforce or default “Track Changes: For Everyone” for all documents in a tenant via SharePoint Embedded or Microsoft Graph APIs.

If this is a critical need for your client, consider submitting feedback via Microsoft Feedback Portal or engaging with Microsoft support for roadmap clarity.
