    Dear Philip von Gontard

    I hope you're doing well.

I wanted to provide a quick update in case you haven't seen it yet. Another user, Frans Schlack, reported similar issue you've described, and it has been acknowledged internally. Microsoft is actively investigating this under Incident ID: INC6201353 – “Office 365 – Unable to Create, View, and Manage Contacts.” A resolution is in progress.

If you're a Microsoft 365 admin, I recommend submitting a support request through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. This ensures your experience is captured and may help expedite resolution by associating it with the existing incident.

If you’re unsure how to raise a ticket, this Microsoft Community article provides a helpful step-by-step guide.

Thank you for your patience, and please don’t hesitate to keep us posted, we’re here to help and will continue sharing updates as we receive them.

I’d be grateful if you could mark my initial answer as Accepted. It helps others find this thread more easily and acknowledges the support you received.

    Hi @Philip von Gontard

Good day! Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum.

I completely understand how frustrating it is when managing your contacts in New Outlook isn't working on your PC, especially since it's fine elsewhere. That's definitely not ideal, and I’m here to help.

Before we dive deeper, please let us know the type of account you're using in the New Outlook: Is it a Microsoft 365 Business account, a personal Outlook.com/Hotmail.com/Live.com account, or a third-party email account (like Gmail)?

I’ve taken the initiative to test but I haven’t encountered this issue firsthand, environment differences and limited info can impact troubleshooting. Kindly share a screenshot of the issue when adding or editing a contact, that would help us identify the root cause more accurately.

Meanwhile, based on my research, if you're experiencing this issue in Outlook for Desktop, here are a few things to try if you haven't done so:

    • Have you tried starting Outlook in Safe Mode or accessing your contacts via Outlook on the Web?
    • Have you tried signing out and signing back in to Outlook? Or any other troubleshooting steps so far?
    • Also, please make sure you're running the latest version of Outlook, and that your operating system and browser are up to date.

I truly appreciate the effort you’ve put in so far and hope one of these suggestions helps resolve the issue.

    To: Everybody on this thread

@Frans Schlack has identified a possible cause of this issue - That an email account that is hosted with GoDaddy can not Create, View, and Manage Contacts.

If you would please, Add a comment to this answer thread with:

YES - My email account is hosted on GoDaddy.

NO - My email account is not hosted on GoDaddy. But I still have this issue.

? - I'm not sure if I use GoDaddy or not.
