Students being signed out unexpectedly twice each day
Over the past two weeks, we’ve experienced an issue where students are being signed out automatically after a short period of time on school devices. This behaviour typically occurs during the first two login attempts each day — after that, the student can stay signed in normally.
This issue does not affect staff accounts, even on the same devices.
As a precaution, we’ve removed any Shared Device Configuration policies (including Shared PC Mode) via Intune, but the problem continues to occur.
Initially, we suspected the Impero client, but we can now confirm the issue is also happening on devices where Impero is not installed, ruling it out as the cause.
We’ve spoken to other schools who are experiencing the same issue in the last 1–2 weeks, also affecting only student accounts. We're starting to think this may be related to a recent update or policy change at platform level.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour, or is there any known issue currently being investigated?
