There used to be an option to save a Word document with "filter to html document". What is the process to do this from Word 365?

    Hi @Al

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum.

I understand that you're trying to find the 'Save as Web Page, Filtered' option in Microsoft Word to create a clean HTML file. I also understand that this feature is less obvious in newer versions, but rest assured the process is still simple. please follow following steps:

Open your document in Microsoft Word > File > Save As > click the Browse option > find the "Save as type" dropdown menu >Click on that dropdown menu and select Web Page, Filtered (*.htm; *.html) from the list > Choose a location to save the file > Save

The full version of Word for Windows still has an option for "Web Page, Filtered" in the Save As dialog box (File > Save As > Browse).

The option is present no matter if you have a subscription license (such as Microsoft 356 Personal) or a perpetual (one-time payment) license.
