Heyo! I've had my Surface Book 3 for a while now and randomly the battery limit stopped working and charges the battery to 100% I use the laptop as a desktop most of the time I would super appreciate if someone could help, happy to share any info needed

A fix is available through Windows Update to resolve the issue that was preventing the Battery Limit setting to function as expected. For more information about updates for your Surface available through Windows Update see

Same issue here. It started right after the last update, on 07/29. The last response they sent me is they have communicated this situation through their internal channels and they are waiting for a response.
I guess they're checking that last update. So, the only thing we can do is waiting.
I have the same issue. Surface Book 3 UEFI version 20.101.140.
Yeah I figured that's what it was had pretty much done everything I could then remembered that I updated the laptop. Thanks for the response! Hope they fix it soon lol
No luck fully killed the battery to see if that would help. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. After some testing even just using the tablet, the limit won't function with both the factory charger and Microsofts travel adapter.
