Full WIndows 8.1 or WIndows 10 on Surface RT?

I'm probably the only one in the world who still owns a Surface RT, it's out of warranty.

And I hate it.

Why? Because all the desktop applications I download don't even work, so I can't even upgrade to WIndows 10, or even download Google Chrome.

I need help so I can get this crap-biscuit ARM thing up-to-date.

    No!  I still have mine.

You can use it as a digital picture frame and play music in the background, show stored videos, or you can use it as a paper weight.

It cannot be upgraded to anything!  It is a 32-bit ARM machine for which is locked to the Windows Boot Loader and will not install any ARM based distributions available (but it could).

Microsoft does have Windows 10 IoT for which a branch of it could be modified and made for the RT models of Surface but Microsoft will not do that.  There wouldn't be anything for it anyway.

If you want to go low budget (and it includes a keyboard and pen) is the Asus T103.

You should know by now the only apps you can install have to come from the store on the RT.

Being out of warranty has nothing to do with the executables you are trying to install or installing another OS or another browser.
