Is there anything I can do if my Surface Laptop 4 wont turn on or charge?

I have a Surface Laptop 4, which won't turn on or charge; the charger for the device light won't come on when connected. However, when I use that very same charger for another device, it lights up and charges. I have tried holding down the power button for 30 seconds, the power button + volume up button for 15 seconds, ctrl + shift + windows key + B, blowing air into USB-C and normal charging port, and I also have tried a USB-C charger.

None of these troubleshooting steps have worked, and the laptop remains unresponsive. Would this be a possible hardware issue or are there other steps I can do to get it to work?

Edit: I should also note that the laptop prior hadn't been used for 3-4 months and was sitting off in storage with the only connection being a USB connected to a USB port.

    Hi Jonathon Orlowski

We appreciate your input within the Microsoft Community. Considering the troubleshooting steps you’ve already followed, there’s a chance this could be related to a hardware problem. However, before reaching a final conclusion, you might want to attempt the following steps:

    1. Check the charging cable and adapter for any damage or fraying. If there is any damage, try using a different charging cable and adapter.
    2. Try charging the laptop using a different power outlet.
    3. If you have access to another Surface Laptop 4, try using its charger to charge your laptop.

If none of these step's work, it is likely that there is a hardware issue with your Surface Laptop 4. In this case, I recommend contacting Live Microsoft Support for further assistance.

Note: Just to set you an expectation. Processing replacement orders, checking the status of orders, and escalating cases are beyond our scope of support here in the community.
