Hi Mofaggol Hoshen,
Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community.
To use a Surface as an external monitor for another laptop, we can use the Project to this PC feature instead of connecting the device through cable connection so the other laptop must also support wireless projection. To do this, set up the Surface first by going to Windows Settings > System > Project to this PC. See this page for details: Screen mirroring and projecting to your PC - Microsoft Support. Once the Surface is set up, press Windows key + P on your other laptop and select Connect wirelessly. Wait for the Surface to be found then select it to connect.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Marrion
Thank you very much for your reply.
Just to clarify the confusion, as you know Microsoft Surface Go 3 has Windows 11 Home S Mode. I have a plan to buy a Surface Go 3 which I will use as a second monitor for some time with HP laptop.
Is Windows 11 Home S Mode Projection feature available or not and is it compatible with HP laptop?
