I have a brand-new Surface Pro 9

1. Force the device to shut down and restart

Press and hold down the power button until your Surface shuts down and restarts and you see the Windows logo screen (about 20 seconds), then release the power button.

2. Check Windows Updates

Go to Settings >> Update and Security >> Windows updates >> Check for updates

3. Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit

See: Fix common Surface problems using the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit (microsoft.com)

4. Remove and reinstall battery driver.

From Device Manager, expand the Batteries category.

Double-tap or double-click Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, select the Driver tab, and select Uninstall > OK.  Then restart your device.

Tried all the above steps. But no use. Kindly advice

Return it for a full refund and repurchase. Do not exchange with Microsoft as you will get a refurb. You should not have this issue with a new device.

Are you able to uninstall the update, and if yes, does the issue still occur? How to uninstall a Windows update - Microsoft Support

No, I am not going to uninstall it, because it was one the monthly windows updates. I rather expect, Microsoft to fix this in a future update.

There was no battery issue reported before this update (at least on my device).

There was also no Hardware change.
