I got a Surface 5 for school, and have had it for a month or two. It wasn't charging today, and I looked in the charging port and all of it's pins are bent. Is their a way to get this replaced or should I just buy a new one?

    Hello, Peter Stein1.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community!

From your description, it appears that some physical damage may have occurred to the charging port of your Surface Laptop 5. Since you have only used it for a month or two, this device is still under warranty. So, getting repair service would be a more appropriate option.

I will share with you here the steps to contact Surface Technical Support team and create a service order:

    1. Use your personal Microsoft account (not your organization account) to access the following links:

    Contact - Microsoft Support

    1. Type Surface won't charge, press Enter, and click "Contact Support" at the bottom:

    1. Select Technical Support and select the device model (Surface Laptop) you are currently using in Product family, then click Confirm:

    1. You will see contact options for Chat support and Phone support, please contact them during business hours:

I wish you all the best.
