    Hi Sumeet,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

I'm sorry to hear about the battery issues with your Surface Laptop 5. The advertised battery life for the Surface Laptop 5 is up to 18 hours for typical device usage. However, actual battery life can vary based on usage patterns, settings, and other factors.

Given that you're experiencing significantly lower battery life, it's possible that there might be an issue with the battery. Since you mentioned that your device is a Microsoft Certified Refurbished product, it should come with a 12-month warranty.

To get your battery checked and possibly replaced under warranty, follow these steps:

    • Run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit: Fix common Surface problems using the Surface app and Surface Diagnostic Toolkit - Microsoft Support
    • Check the Power mode slider. Disconnect the Surface from the power supply. In Windows 11, open Settings > System > Power & battery and ensure the Power mode is set to Recommended.
    • Check app usage. In Windows 11 open Settings > System > Power and battery. Select Last 24 hours and then select an hour of high consumption.
    • Run Power troubleshooter. From the Search box, enter "troubleshoot power" and then open Find and fix problems with your computer's power setting.
    • Reset using the most appropriate choice. If you've tried basic troubleshooting options, you may need to restore or reset your Surface. If the issue occurs after a reset, then the root cause is very likely hardware related. Restore or reset Surface for Windows - Microsoft Support

If you encounter any issues during this process, feel free to reach out for further assistance. I hope this helps resolve your battery issue quickly!

    Your Sincerely
