Are Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter V2 now end of life. I cannot see any in stock anywhere, including various Microsoft stores internationally, yet no announcement from MS regarding this to say they are discontinued.

I need to know if I now have to swap all of ours for another product to keep things all the same?

    Hi Andrew McA,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble finding the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter V2 in stock. Microsoft has not yet made any public statements on the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter V2's end of life. Given that we already have newer versions of adapters, it's likely that the item is momentarily out of supply or that we don't know when it will be back in stock.

As for swapping your current adapters for another product, that would depend on your specific needs and preferences. Microsoft offers a range of wireless display adapters and other accessories that may be suitable alternatives. You may want to take a look on Microsoft 4K Wireless Display Adapter - Microsoft Accessories.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia

    Hi and thanks Lavinia,

Actually, these 4k adapters are out of stock too. They are I believe, the v2 I was referring to, but I might have had the name wrong.

Anyway, they seem to have disappeared off the inventories of all our suppliers! and the Microsoft stores. I am just trialing a EZCast 4K display adapter which looks ok, but I would have preferred to have stayed with the MS version.

    Anyway, thanks for your reply

    Hi Lavenia,

    Thank you for your reply.

I am still unsure what the story with MS wireless display adapters is. Is there any way (or anyone at) Microsoft that can tell me:

    1. Why they are no longer available?
    2. If they will return to sale and if so when?
      Or
    3. If a newer alternative is about to be available?
    4. Or are Microsoft simply abandoning this line of product?

I look forward to a reply and clarification of this.

    Thanks and regards,

    Andrew McA

Since there have been no formal public announcements released regarding its availability, I apologize, but I am unable to respond to your questions. You can get troubleshooting advice from the community team. The range of my assistance with product availability is limited.

    Thank you for understanding.
