    Hello Ikhlas.A,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. I understand you're looking for information on how to enable Resizable BAR support in the BIOS of your Surface Laptop 5 in order to use it with an eGPU. It was an honor to help you with this.

Resizable BAR is a feature that allows the CPU to access the entire graphics memory of the GPU at once, instead of accessing it in smaller chunks. This can improve gaming performance and reduce input lag.

In response to your inquiry, I regret to inform you that Resizable BAR support is not currently available on the Surface Laptop 5. The Surface Laptop 5 only has integrated graphics, which means it does not have a separate graphics card that can be upgraded or modified. As a result, it is not possible to enable Nvidia Rebar in the BIOS of the Surface Laptop 5.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia

I have the same question. I have Surface Laptop 5 i7/32/1TB with Thunderbolt 4 for business. I need to render visualisations as well some CAD works. Unit was especially bought to us in companion with eGPU. We consider to use arc A770 and also Nvidia RTX and to get full performance of these GPUs we need to enable reBAR. Is it finally solved and we can do it? I believe eGPU usage is one of the things why MS has put T4 in their Surface units.....

No Rebar is still disabled till this day, idk why Microsoft likes to limit our user experience.

So sad. Waste of money than. Microsoft please state than un technical specification that users can't expect that their surface devices will be able to fully use T4 functionality.. if our Company would know this nuanse, we definitely would not purchase surface devices as using eGPU is mandatory for us.
