Hey Steven Here is the deal I accidentally plugged my thunderbolt cable into my surface ( I really wasn't thinking) next thing I know my surface is mirroring with my TV! So the answer to Your question would be yes to THUNDERBOLT because it goes in and out seamlessly for me and I have a pro. (Which Shouldn't be an Issue) the mini Display port on MacBooks I have no clue! You could always go to apple and test it out!!
Does the surface mini display port support thunderbolt displays and devices?
I have a thunderbolt display which i use with my win8 desktop pc with mini display port
I tried connecting the surface pro to this display but it does not work. i know i had to enable the intel graphics to work with thunderbolt display.
Is it possible that the feature is not enabled on surface pro?
I thought intel hd 4000 graphics has native support for thunderbolt displays.

2013-02-19T21:31:10+00:00 Greetings Neoscrawl,
The Surface Pro does not support Thunderbolt capabilities. Windows 8 will support Thunderbolt, but the Surface Pro hardware does not.
