USB-C charging for Surface Book 2

Greetings! I'm not a very tech savvy person and this might be weird question but I am on the go a lot and usually am not near an outlet for several days out of the week. I use my Surface Book 2 every day and I am always struggling to find a place to charge it. It's been more of a burden as of late and it's always on my mind now.

My question is can I switch to a portable charging bank using USB-C as my main source of charge? What I am afraid of is that since USB-C is not the actual "charging port", there might be issues later down the road with the battery (besides the usual wear and tear from charging it). Is it okay to use once every week, or every day, or should I try not to charge my laptop using USB-C at all?

I was thinking about getting this one: https://www.anker.com/store/powercore-26800-and-powerport-1/B1374112

If you have any other recommendations, I would be more than happy to hear them!

Do not get that Anker model - it is not designed for it.  Not sure if the Surface Book 2 can be charged via the USB-C port but would recommend this model instead: https://www.amazon.com/BatPower-ES10B-Portable-External-Smartphone/dp/B076P3K79R/ref=sr\_1\_12?keywords=surface+book+2+charger&qid=1551935132&s=gateway&sr=8-12

It has the power output and specifications rating for the Surface Book series.  A bit expensive, though!

I just double checked the specifications of the Book 2 and it can be charged via the USB-C port but that Anker model may still not be powerful enough.

As for charging via the USB-C port, should present no problem if you can find a good battery bank for it.  The model I listed from Amazon uses the proprietary port to charge it up.  However, the one on Amazon was pretty expensive.

Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to help me out. If that battery pack can save me many headaches down the line, it will be worth it in my book!
