Hello Benny Skakey,
Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community. Surface Devices should work wirelessly. Can you verify if your Samsung TV is Miracast enabled? If the TV/Monitor you're projecting to doesn’t support Miracast, then you’ll need a Miracast adapter (sometimes also called a dongle) that plugs into an HDMI port on your display device. The adapter lets your PC communicate wirelessly with the display device.
Try all steps below and test:
- First go to Settings > System > Projecting to this PC > Under "Some Windows and Android devices can project to this PC when you say it's OK" set it to "Available everywhere" > "Ask to project to this PC" set it to "First time only" > "Require PIN for pairing" set it to "First time/Always" > "This PC can be discovered for projection only when it's plugged into a power source" set to "On"
- Try removing it and adding it again. Go to Settings > Devices > Wireless display and then tap or click Remove Device > Restart Surface
- Go to system tray in desktop > NotificationIcon > Connect > Wait till it list the device, then select it to connect > Follow the onscreen instructions to project the screen to wireless display.
- Refer to Project to a wireless display with Miracast and check if it helps.
Open the links below if your Monitor is not a Miracast enabled.
Hope that helps! Please keep us posted.
