Surface Pro 64GB - Grounding Issue with Type Cover / Trackpad

Currently, when using the track pad and the mouse, you can hold your finger still, any finger, pick one and the mouse will jitter left and right and sometimes fly across the screen!

However! If you're right handed, take your left hand and place a finger on the backside of the screen, something metal and magic, it stops jittering.

How..just how..was this overlooked? Will Microsoft be doing a recall on the Surface units until this is fixed or is there something that can be done about it without a hardware upgrade of some sort?

For 1400 bucks all in, accessories included, I just got over the fact that it won't pleasure me at night and twice on the weekends, otherwise it's a great machine, but I won't tolerate something like this for the money.

Please post your intentions and plans to address this issue.

Thanks for reading.

    Greetings KrightonX,

Sorry to hear about your Surface. Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce the issue you are experiencing.

It does sound like something is amiss with your Type Cover. I would suggest putting in for an exchange at the retailer in which you purchased your Surface, or contacting Surface Technical Support.

This does not seem to be an isolated issue.  I am currently experiencing the identical issue with my Surface Pro 64 GB w/ Type Cover.

Same here.  Surface Pro 128 GB  w/Type Cover.  Cursor is jumping around some time.   I also have a touch cover.  It is much stable than type cover.
